
There’s no single database that covers all unclaimed funds. To find what may be owed to you, use the specific databases below, based on the type of money you’re searching for.
From Employers
- Unpaid Wages: Check the Department of Labor for back wages your employer may owe you.
- Unclaimed Pensions: Search the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) for pension funds from former employers.
Unclaimed Insurance
- VA Life Insurance: Look up unclaimed insurance funds for veterans through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
- FHA Mortgage Insurance Refunds: If you had an FHA-insured mortgage, check the HUD refund database for possible refunds.
Taxes
- Tax Refunds: Use the IRS Where’s My Refund? tool if your refund hasn’t arrived.
